Mechanical Fitter
Based in Halesowen
Permanent – 40 hours per week
£34,000 basic + overtime and benefits
We are currently seeking an experienced and professional mechanical fitter to work within the maintenance team of a leading manufacturer based in Halesowen.
The purpose of this role of a mechanical fitter is to ensure all machinery such as presses and CNC machines are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Elements of a mechanical fitter are:
· Work in safe and responsible manner.
· Time keeping / attendance.
· Maintenance of Press both preventive and reactive.
· Timely response to all reactive breakdowns.
· Flexibility to work around production requirements.
· Critical spares stock.
· Reliability of press – improvement projects.
· Hydraulic system servicing and monitoring.
· Engineering support across site.
· Maintenance of other equipment within department.
Required skills for the role of mechanical fitter:
– 2 years + experience within a maintenance fitter role
– Strong knowledge of hydraulic press operations
– BTEC or NVQ Level 3 qualifications
– Analytical/Logical thinker
– Able to communicate to various team members and management
– Strong engineering background
