Production Shift Supervisor
Based in Halesowen
Permanent – 38 hours per week
£35000 – £37000 basic + overtime and benefits
We are currently seeking an experienced and professional production supervisor to supervise a set early AM shift within the machine shop of a leading manufacturer.
The purpose of this role of production supervisor is to ensure daily/weekly production targets are achieved to meet quality standards whilst optimising efficiency and operational excellence.

Key Elements of a production supervisor:
– Plan and implement work orders, allocating work force accordingly
– Adhere to quality standards, procedures and techniques
– Continually monitor and work alongside machine shop, engineers, designers and management
– Monitor and manage stock levels
– Work closely with maintenance team to organise repairs and calibrations
– Implement and ensure 5s is constantly in practice
– Health and safety advocate
Required skills for the role of production supervisor:
– 2 years + experience within a similar role – preferably within engineering or manufacturing environment
– Effective manager of people
– Experience in manufacturing processes within your area of responsibility
– Ideally IOSH accredited
– Manufacturing or engineering qualification or apprenticeship
– Have a logical and problem solving approach
– Written English and Math skills
– Excellent communication skills to people at all levels, internal and external
