Planning Manager

Location: Warwick, Warwickshire

Salary £70,000 – £75,000/annum

Planning Manager – Assurance & Control

An incredible opportunity has arisen for a professional Planning Manager to lead and develop a team of Planning Engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape project success and ensure the timely delivery of key milestones through expert planning and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Planning Engineers, providing support, guidance, and mentoring in best practices related to planning, reporting, and governance processes.
  • Collaborate directly with Project Directors to develop comprehensive project plans across all phases, from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate planning resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Establish timelines for the production of cost-loaded, deliverable programmes for project sanction.
  • Support Project Directors in achieving portfolio success by delivering consistent, value-driven project planning activities.

Key Capabilities:

  • Team Leadership & Line Management: Effectively guide and develop your team.
  • Project Planning Expertise: Experience with Primavera P6, NEC clauses, and compensation event analysis.
  • Programme & Portfolio Management: Develop and manage programmes that align with the overall project goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure that client requirements are met and managed professionally.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of NEC contractual clauses and cost management.
  • Certification such as APM or equivalent
