As an Financial Accountant you will be responsible for;
The maintenance of relevant fixed asset register, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly with the necessary authorisations including the calculation of the monthly depreciation charge to the profit and loss account.
MOD accounting. Conversion from finance lease to operating lease, supporting fixed asset registers and monthly recode journals
Calculating monthly deferral and accrual adjustments for revenue
The processing and reconciliation of allocated general ledger accounts including accruals and prepayments such as utilities, rent and rates etc.
Assisting with the quarterly England and Wales balance sheet reviews and preparation of the reserves schedule
Monthly car and van recode including Q VAT, VAT Scale charges and CO2 emission reporting
Assisting with Audit requests for our quarterly and yearly external audits
Focusing on continuous improvement to enhance processes within the General Ledger team as necessary
Other ad-hoc finance duties as required and providing additional support to the Finance team
As an Financial Accountant you will demonstrate;
GSCE standard including Maths and English
Experience working in a pressured finance environment
Experience of adhering to tight deadlines
Diligent, accurate and detailed
Organization skills
Significant Microsoft Office skills, experience of extensively using Excel
Experience of teamwork with ability to work independently
Interpersonal skills with other functions e.g. Used Equipment
Significant experience in pure finance activities: prepayments, accruals and reconciliations
