Salary and Benefits
This position will work Monday to Friday, 07:54 – 16:00, with 25 days holiday and 8 UK Bank Holidays. Salary is £22,716 per annum.
Our Client
Our client Limited is a family-owned company located in the Black Country, West Midlands. We are specialists in organo-sulphur synthesis and high-pressure hydrogenation supplying organic chemistry services to a global market in quantities from grams to multi-tonnes. We manufacture intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others and our team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture and process optimisation.
The Role
The position will require the undertaking of charging of reactors, monitoring of processes, separations, filtrations and discharging of product for further processing. The use of vacuum systems, nitrogen and control panels will be required as will flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing processes.
You will be an experienced process operative ideally coming from a chemical manufacturing environment. You should have an excellent attitude towards health and safety and be familiar with COSHH and risk assessments. You should ideally have completed an IOSH Working Safely qualification. It would be beneficial for you to hold a current counter balance fork lift truck licence.
You should possess at least GCSEs at grade ‘C’ or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English. A relevant vocational qualification at Level 2 or above would be advantageous.
