A firmly established nationwide manufacturing and distribution business is currently seeking to expand their Finance department with a new Accounts Assistant position. The business is enjoying rapid growth and they offer excellent training and development.

Salary: £ 20,000 – £25,000 p.a. + Discretionary bonus + 30 Days Holiday + sponsored AAT training to level 3 or 4.

The Role

Candidates are sought with relevant experience in the area of Accounts handling, having worked with either Sage/SAP/JDE and an AAT Qualification. The position will evolve as the Group continues to grow and over time will cover all aspects of preparing accurate Company accounts and maintenance of effective financial controls.

Key responsibilities including providing assistance on Management Accounts, entering invoices into SAP, overseeing authorised invoices for payment and raising debit notes on queried invoices and monitoring progress.

Additionally, you will support with the preparation and processing of authorised payment runs to suppliers, Match goods receipt PO to delivery notes and invoices and support monthly reconciliation`s

The Person

The ideal candidate for the position of Accounts Assistant, will be AAT intermediate level, fully Qualified AAT or Qualified by experience, however the business is prepared to support an AAT training package as part of the package.

Relevant experience in the area of managements accounts and reporting is required alongside strong organisational skills and excellent Excel skill base. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work onsite Monday to Friday on a daily basis, 0900-1700.
