CNC Turning Programmer – Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)
Salary: Up to £41,000 per year (depending on experience)

We are recruiting for a well-established company with over 40 years of industry experience, currently expanding its team. The company specializes in precision engineering, providing a broad range of in-house capabilities and delivering top-notch manufacturing and engineering services to some of the world’s leading companies.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a permanent CNC Turning Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing programs for components based on technical drawings, updating existing programs, and collaborating with both our in-house team and customers to streamline production and enhance product quality.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar CNC Turning Programmer role is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Ensure the security, organization, and production of CNC Turning programs using DNC and CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks and Vericut.
  • Program Review: Evaluate and update existing programs to improve production efficiency.
  • Training & Technology: Recommend new training and technology programs as appropriate to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Documentation: Develop work instructions and route instructions for CNC Turning to support production.
  • Technical Support: Assist CNC Turning operators with technical issues, problem-solving, and program prove-out on machines.
  • Tooling Research: Collaborate with the Tooling and Production Technician to research and implement cost-effective tooling solutions.
  • Estimation: Accurately contribute to the estimation process as needed.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve technical problems, developing action plans to prevent future issues.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Continuously work towards improving machine efficiency.
  • Customer Liaison: Communicate with customers regarding programming and the creation of solid models from customer drawings.
  • Tooling & Kitting: Assist with tooling and kitting for CNC Turning operations.
  • Operation: Operate CNC lathes as required.
