Quality Inspector

Aston based

Full time – 42 hours

Upto £30,000 basic

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our quality control team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and quality of parts produced through our CNC processes, reporting to the Senior Quality Inspector.

Key Responsibilities of a quality inspector

• Inspect machined parts produced by CNC equipment using various measurement tools and techniques
• Verify dimensions, surface finishes, and other specifications against technical drawings
• Perform “first-off” inspections on newly machined parts
• Conduct in-process inspections during production runs
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and Keyence measuring machines
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality control records
• Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities in machined parts
• Collaborate with CNC operators and production staff to address quality issues
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality policies
• Perform regular manufacturing process audits
• Train new staff on quality practices, requirements, and protocols
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally

Qualifications & Experience of a quality inspector 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a CNC machining environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with various measurement tools and inspection equipment, including CMMs
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software

Working Conditions

• Full-time position, 39.75 hours per week with potential for overtime
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to various production processes
