The Opportunity
leading, supervising and coordinating the different areas in the GSS department: MDS Technical support, MDS Data Analysis and Ground Support Devices.

ensuring the customer/operator understand the systems (MDS, MPRS, OTN and PMT) and proper use, promoting new functionalities and collecting experience for new actions.

liaising with the Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) team, providing 24×7 MDS support to ensure a success task lines accomplishment.

liaising with Part M, P-145 and TAA to provide Continuing Airworthiness governance of the MDS processes.

leading the Technical Queries service, including the coordination of technical and administrative processes.

leading and supervising the updates and implementation of the OMP and Approved Configuration of A400M with MDS Reference Data.

leading and supervising the updates of the MRO packages working closely with the Reference Data team and CAMO.

providing management and supervision of MDS operation, lead data analysis and correction service and future quality gates process.

maintaining communication with all relevant Airbus departments, providing recommendations on the level of support required to keep the customer satisfied.

leading and supervising then auditing function to ensure the accuracy of the data held within MDS and provide assurance to the CAMO in order to maintain the continued airworthiness of the fleet.

liaising with CAMO ensuring all technical documentation is provided on time and quality.

liaising and coordination with the different departments of the organization to ensure all personnel have received the on the Job Training (OJT) and the SQEP in aligned with the activities the user has to carry out as well as with the MDS profile access. 

ensuring the organization receive on-site MDS technical assistance, research and liaise with all stakeholders to provide adequate responses to technical queries.

ensuring a technical MDS support during the coordination meetings with (Nations/OSCAR) and A400M Program to support the customer requirements, the RAF.

liaising and coordination with the C4I and A400M DT RAF team to work together providing 24×7 GSS support in the four disciplines: MDS, MPRS, OTN and PMT. 

Ensure that the processes and the ATLAS procedures for his/her department are updated.

·         undertaking projects and assignments as directed by the HO Operations.

supporting and contributing to any continuous improvement programme.

About you:

MDS experience is crucial to this role

Already a proven leader of multidisciplinary teams and activities or ready for your next developmental step

You may have a background in any A/C maintenance software discipline – being curious and interested in our full end-to-end process is the key!

You have the ability to influence, lead and collaborate at all team levels to collectively find and deliver solutions.

You are organised and versatile with a high capacity to manage and prioritise the wide variety of topics you may face in any typical week.

You have the ability to develop a long term vision and implement concrete steps towards it.

You are a clear, proactive communicator and stakeholder manager, with both internal and external people at all levels.

You have the ability to take ownership of your activities and support your team members by making commitments that you work hard to uphold.

You have a collaborative, transnational mindset.

Due to nature of the work, it is required that the jobholder be able to provide service in shifts and ‘out of office’ support as required by contractual obligations.

The requirements of the role require you to satisfy the security clearance requirements necessary for access to a UK military establishment, and work in a security sensitive environment
