The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant with a primary focus on delivering consultancy services to our Corporate Clients and supporting their employee benefits programs.
While experience across the entire employee benefits spectrum is desired, expertise in specific areas, particularly in Pensions, would be highly valued. In this role, you will be expected to help foster strong client relationships and develop strategies to continually identify opportunities for growing our client services and revenues. As this role covers the London region, the ability to travel to London easily and regularly is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients.
- Directly interact with clients to resolve queries, support relationship development, and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Provide thought leadership on all aspects of employee benefits.
- Work to review and expand the services offered to clients.
- Deliver a range of services, including conducting market reviews.
- Support the development of our Employee Benefits proposition.
- Mentor and support junior consultants in building their knowledge and confidence.
- Attend and participate in client meetings.
- Meet key financial targets set by the Senior Leadership Team.
- Ensure full adherence to company FCA requirements (e.g., file maintenance, terms of business, key facts documents, claim register, file checklists).
- Conduct and undergo peer reviews of work as appropriate.
- Adhere to Corporate Policies and Procedures (CCPs).
- Report any suspected compliance breaches to management or the compliance department immediately upon discovery.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in an Employee Benefits consultancy role, with a focus on pensions.
- Relevant qualifications, such as Group Risk (GR1) and Healthcare Insurance Products (IF7).
- Strong technical understanding of employee benefits design and products, particularly in workplace pensions.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Experience with new business pitches and tendering.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Proactive and a team player.
